Three oils carry most of the world’s edible-oil trade — and the TFI Edible Oil Alliance delivers all three. Sunflower, canola (rapeseed) and olive oil each come from a different geography, a different crop logic and a different buyer profile, yet they move through the same disciplined machinery: contracted specifications, certificates of analysis on every lot, bulk logistics from flexitank to drum, and alliance programs planned across harvest calendars. This page is the alliance overview — the three products side by side, each with its own dedicated deep-dive.

Sunflower Oil — The Volume Workhorse

Grown across wide continental plains with deep black soils, sunflower delivers the classic linoleic profile for retail bottling and the high-oleic grades that frying industries and food processors contract for stability. From crude oil for refiners to refined winterized grades ready for the shelf, this is the oil of large recurring programs. Read the full picture — regions, varieties, grades and program structures — in our dedicated article: Sunflower Oil in Bulk: Origins, Varieties and Alliance Programs.

Canola Oil — The Balanced Professional

Canola pairs one of the healthiest fatty-acid profiles in the category — low saturates, balanced omega-3 and omega-6 — with the process discipline food producers demand: ISO 9001, HACCP and ISCC certification behind every consignment, erucic acid held at or below 2%, and the full rapeseed complex available alongside the oil itself, from refined deodorized grades to toasted meal and lecithin. The complete specification story lives here: Premium Food-Grade Canola Oil: Clean Taste, Certified Quality.

Olive Oil — The Heritage Premium

From sun-drenched coastal hills between the 30th and 45th parallels come the cultivars serious buyers specify by name — Picual, Koroneiki, Arbequina, Coratina — milled cold and graded from extra virgin down the ladder to refined and pomace streams, each with its own buyers and its own documentation. Cultivars, harvest timing and trade structures are covered in depth here: Olive Oil at Trade Scale: Origins, Cultivars and the Alliance.

One Alliance, Three Programs

What unites the three is how they are supplied. TFI Group structures each product for professional volumes: bulk consignments in flexitanks, IBC totes and drummed lots; full-container programs; term contracts that hold across crop years. Specifications are contracted before shipment and verified at every lot; logistics follow the buyer’s production rhythm; and pricing tracks the origin markets transparently. A refinery, a bottling line and a trading book each get a program shaped to how they actually work — often combining two or all three oils under one commercial relationship, one counterparty, one standard of documentation.
